The Associated Students of MSU and Council of Graduate Students provide a legal services clinic. This entitles currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students (who have not refunded their student activity fee) to receive legal counsel from staff attorneys on most student legal concerns. Students may be able to receive representation in court or be counseled in landlord-tenant problems, criminal misdemeanors, traffic offenses, and other legal matters.

Legal Services cannot represent students in regards to divorce, child custody issues, child-support enforcement, felonies, etc. Legal Services may be helpful in recommending affordable private attorneys.
