Emergency Childcare

Have you had to miss days from work or school because your child care provider was unavailable?

Each MSU employee or student is eligible to use this service five days each year for each child in the family (on an academic year basis, fall semester though the end of the following summer semester). The service is free of charge.

A child must be free of communicable disease and capable of participating in regularly planned activities.

Call to arrange care, up to two weeks in advance. You may be required to show immunization documentation.

Free Drop-in Care at Family Growth Center
There are two sites that offer drop off respite childcare for families who need to run an errand, go to a doctor’s appointment of just have time to themselves. FGC accepts children from six weeks to age five and may attend up to 6 times a month.
