MSU Parents of Children with Autism

Children’s Special Health Care Services
(1-800-359-3722) Financial assistance for medical care to families who have disabled children and require special care, ages birth to 21. Meetings and one-to-one support.

ARC Michigan
(1-800-292-7851) State organization on mental retardation and other developmental disabilities.

LAP Respite Center
(372-6671) 840 E. Mt. Hope, Suite 101 in Lansing. Respite care. Trained staff who are employed by LAP relieve family caregivers. Services may be provided to families for a few hours, a few days in the family home, or at the Respite House, depending on need and availability of service.

YMCA Sunshine Camp

Early On® Michigan
Early On® Michigan is the system of early intervention services for infants and toddlers, birth to three years of age, with developmental delays or diagnosed conditions with a high probability of resulting in delay, and their families. Early On is supported by funding from Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) through the Michigan Department of Education, Office of Early Childhood Education and Family Services. Early On ensures that eligible children and families receive comprehensive, collaborative, family-centered, strength-based services.
