Teen Parents
Education does not have to stop when a family begins!
Having a child does not remove the importance and possibility of going to college. There are a number of support services available at a variety of community and four-year colleges that will assist you in balancing family responsibilities while going to college.
The MSU Family Resource Center (FRC) staff and students with children have joined together to give presentations about being a student with a child.
Programs generally consist of a panel of speakers discussing their experiences as student parents, as well as a Q&A session with the teen parents.
Presenters will also discuss the benefits of making the decision to attend college. With proper notification, presentation programs may be altered to fit the specific needs of your group.
If you would like to schedule a presentation, or if you would like to request further information, please contact the FRC at (517) 432-3745 or via email at frc@hr.msu.edu.
